The American continent relies on the Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) standards to power the IN services for the landline network. Built on the Telcordia standards, the most common deployments are for AIN0.1 and AIN0.2.  The AIN API facilitates building platform-independent, transport-independent and hardware vendor-independent applications. Applications include SSP, IP, SCP, Enhanced Services Platform, Service Circuit Nodes and other custom applications.
 
The Accelero™ AIN API conforms to Telcordia Generic Requirements AIN0.2 GR 1299 (Issue 8, 11/2002). In American networks supporting the Telcordia recommendations for Advanced Intelligent Network services, this API suite provides significant resource savings in terms of time and effort for developing and enhancing IN capabilities. 
 
The AIN API provides an implementation with an object oriented C++ programming interface. This interface provides an abstraction to handle the messaging for the operations defined in the AIN standards.
